Colorado Springs & Denver

We visited Colorado Springs and Denver for a great, long 4th of July weekend. We stayed at our NAU friends' (and Mary's high school friends') house in Colorado Springs. We saw lots of beautiful sites including Garden of the Gods, Seven Falls, and more. Then, we stayed with our friends Mike and Debbie in Denver for a few nights. It was a great, beautiful weekend.

Portland Rose Festival

We did a quick weekend to Portland and enjoyed the 100th anniversary Rose Festival; thereafter, we traveled the metro Portland area and found a couple areas that we want to move to soon.

We have tons more pictures to check out within our picture album. Click the link in the upper, right sidebar.

Grandma Dorothy

Grandma Dorothy passed away on April 24th at the old age of almost 91. Mary and I had the great opportunity to travel to Nephi, UT on May 5th to participate in burial. There were lots of family and friends. It was very cold and windy and snowed a little.

Testimonial about Mary

This famous customer called Mary from Scottsdale to gain a quote. Mary tried to refer the customer to a Scottsdale TUPSS because it would be closer & easier for him to get the product to a store to ship. Mary did an excellent customer service that the customer had a very expensive piece delivered from the Scottsdale gallery store to her store. This is his email to Mary:

Hello Mary,
Thanks for looking after this shipping project so wonderfully. Our only regret was that we didn't have the opportunity of meeting you in person. This table top is very special to my wife, Judi, in particular. She fell in love with it at first sight in the store and then was really disappointed to discover that they wouldn't arrange to shipping to Canada. This is a gift to ourselves to recognize our 35th wedding anniversary on August 26th this year as was our vacation time in Phoenix. Both of our work schedules don't permit travel at that time so we planned our big celebration early. The delivery of this 'work of art' copper table top is a very special part of our celebration so we are deeply indebted to you for 'making it happen'. Thanks so much.
We are hoping that we will be able to travel to Phoenix in the Spring next year as well to visit with friends who rent a home for three months in north Scottsdale and ride motorcyles through the country side as we did the last week of April and first week of May this year. If we do we will be sure to make a point of stopping by your UPS store and say 'hello' in person. Our best to Dominic as well.
If you watch television at all and get the Turner Network Television station be sure to watch a mini-series called THE COMPANY produced by Ridley Scott (director of GLADIATOR and other terrific films). It will air three succesive Sundays in August. I play the role of "Dick Bissel". Some of my payment from this project is buying the table top and paid for our wonderful trip to Phoenix. (lol)
Warm regards,

Mary's Boston Trip

Mary took Misty to Boston in mid-April. They do not know how to take pictures together, even though they were models at a younger age. I guess they are scared that someone will steal their camera as they are taking a picture of them together. I am thankful we still have a camera. Below are the only good pictures. All I wanted from Mary on her Boston trip was lots of good pictures. This will probably be the last trip by themselves. They had tons of fun.

Mary may add more to this post later when she learns to blog.

Cheryl's Wedding

Mary was the photographer at Cheryl's wedding. This was the first day that hit 100 degrees, then a big wind and rain storm came in that blew over all Mary's work on the wedding decorations. Luckily everything was saved and put together just in time as the wedding started.

San Diego

We did a quick, last minute trip to San Diego to get away for the long New Year weekend.
