Collin Turns 2!

Just a few of us got together at Peter Piper Pizza to celebrate Collin turning 2.

He had such a fun time having all the attention on him.

Thank you grandma, grandpa and aunt Misty for the fun games and great gifts!

Knowing how much Collin enjoys the drums we thought we would give a professional show a try. Didn't work out as well as we had hoped but he did watch most of it.

Phoenix Zoo with Grandma

The weather was great and we were needing to get out of the house so grandma met up with us for a trip to the zoo. We had a wonderful time...but we always have a blast when we are with grandma!

Collin has ridden the merry-go-round many times but always with fear. This was a completely different experience, somehow grandma got him to smile and wave and enjoy it!

Denver

We went to Denver just before the New Year to see our good friend's son get baptized.

We got to play a little bit too.

This year was the most fun yet for Christmas because Collin could enjoy the lights, music, parade, etc. We tried to get in as much as we could. Uncle Steve and aunt Pat gave us an advent calendar and he couldn't wait to get that piece of chocolate out of it every day.

My little helper wanted to be a part of everything. Having an excuse to climb made it even better!

This year aunt Misty joined us in going out to the Phoenix Electric Light Parade.

Another trip up to the Polar Express. All the snow made it even better than last year!

Look! It's Santa!

...so we made a few adjustments.

That night we drove to Flagstaff and stayed with cousin Shelley and Michael. The next morning we went out for breakfast and then made our first ever snowman. Well, more like snow boy. The snow had no moisture in it so it was next to impossible to pack it. Thanks to Shelley and Michael for keeping Collin busy while we worked our tails off making it.

In keeping with tradition, we spent Christmas Eve with the Christensen family having dinner, a program, out to see lights and then an elephant gift exchange.
