...the rest of the adventure!

So the next day we left Port Angeles and headed back down to Seattle. On our way we stopped by Bremerton where I actually lived when I was 3 and 4 years old. We did a self guided tour on this Navy destroyer.
This is a picture of the storekeepers office on the ship. Even though my father never served on this one, this is probably very similar to what he was used to.

After we made it to the Seattle area and checked into our hotel, we made our way downtown and took the Underground Tour. Its a great way to learn about Seattle's beginnings and see the creepy underground passages that still exists from the late 1800s.

The next day we drove two hours east of Seattle to a little Bavarian town called Leavenworth. Cute shops, great food and fantastic scenery. We found a nutcracker museum which was interesting. Thousands and thousands of them in all sizes and themes. Below we are standing with a six foot nutcracker.

Our last day of vacation started out with breakfast at IHOP with my cousin Jason, who I hadn't seen for something like ten years. It was fun catching up. Then we headed over to the Museum of Flight. The exhibits are great but one of the highlights was getting to walk through the very first Air Force One used by President Kennedy and others.

Right before heading to the airport we stopped at a waterfront resteraunt to enjoy one last Seattle meal. I got fish and chips of course and it was deliciouse!

All the things we did made the trip a lot of fun...but even more than that, I was given the opportunity to build my friendship with Kelley and that was the real reward. Thanks Kelley!!!
