Collin from 6 to 8 months

Some pictures of Collin around the house finding things to occupy his time :-)
He loves drinking from a cup...

...and, falling asleep with mom and dad

Last week I went in to get Collin and this is what I found. Good thing we lowered the bed a couple weeks ago!

He is also climbing up furniture now and crawling around

The first time Collin got into the dog food. Caught him before it made it into the mouth.

Trip to Utah Conference Weekend

A couple weeks ago during Conference weekend we headed to Salt Lake City for a mission reunion. Mark served his mission in Oregon between 1995 and 1997. About 20 of the missionaries who also served under the same mission president gathered together at a park in Salt Lake for a potluck dinner and to recall good memories.
Before the reunion that night we spent the day at Temple Square.

We even got to spend a few minutes with a relative who works in the Joseph Smith Memorial Building next door. Thanks Annette for coming down to see us!

We happened to be at Deseret Book when there were three of the cast members from 17 Miracles signing DVD cases.

President Jones and his wife at the mission reunion potluck.
Only one of Mark's companions was able to be at the reunion, although there were several other people there that he knew. This is Mark with Denny Daughters, who is blind.

The remainder of the weekend we spent hanging out with our friends and their kids watching General Conference and Sunday night we had dinner with cousins (where we had the most stimulating conversation!!! Ha, ha, thanks guys!)
The kids are working on their Conference packets.

Vacation or Photo Shoot?

We recently spent a week in Oregon. A cousin of mine was getting married so we thought it would be a good time to see all the family. While we were there we took advantage of the scenery and took lots of pictures.
Mt. Hood out of the airplane window

We were really looking forward to introducing Collin to my grandparents.

After stopping to visit the grandparents we went for a hike through Silver Creek Falls. We saw a total of 7 waterfalls.
This guy is such a cutie! He fell asleep while we were hiking.

And....the best of the photo shoot!

The next day was the wedding. The bride looked stunning! Found out the groom is a major Beatles fan. He said if it weren't his reception we could talk Beatles all night. Maybe next time!
Visited again the next day.

The next day we stopped by the Portland Rose Garden before heading to the coast. Collin loved all the bright colors. And....the best of the photo shoot.

We drove to the coast and stayed in a condo just a two minute walk from the beach. It was nice just to have the door cracked so we could feel the ocean breeze and hear the waves crashing. Aaaaaahhhhhhh...
Collin fell asleep while playing

We decided each night to be on the beach as the sun was setting. This was Collin's first time seeing the ocean and being in the sand.
And.....the best of the photo shoot.

The following day we spent in Newport. We visited the Wax Museum, Ripley's Believe It or Not Museum and the Underwater Experience.

The third day we visited a lighthouse just north of Newport.

Another visit to the beach...and...another photo shoot.

Mark struggled with leaving his ocean view and heading back to the desert.

One quick stop at a beach a little further south before heading to the airport.
Our last chance for pictures.
