Collin's Hospital Adventure

Collin had an ultrasound that verified my suspicion that there was a tumor in his right testicle.  The night before his surgery we took him to the Disney store and told him he could have any one item that he wanted.  Of all things he chose this Planes suitcase.  We decided to use it to carry activity books to the hospital and to hold his clothes while he was in surgery.

Grandma and aunt Misty came to see him before surgery and stayed with us through the surgery.

We are trying to say goodbye right before they take him into surgery
but he is so distracted playing his game on the tablet they gave him.

Just out of surgery.  Poor thing looked so precious and helpless.

Outpatient surgery meant we were in and out and on our way home by mid afternoon.

So thankful to papa for watching and playing with Celeste at the park while we were busy.

Halloween

Collin and I carved our first pumpkin together just days before Halloween.

This year we were a family of pirates.  Argh!

Idaho Fall Fun

Mid October we flew up to Idaho to see my two best friends Kelley Hicken
and Brandi Mitchell and their families.  Collin and Celeste loved playing
with the other kids and the first day they got to play at a fun indoor playground.

Later that night we visited a pumpkin patch/farm and had some fun.

The next day we dressed the kids and went to Boo at the Zoo.

These two were instant buddies.  See the frog and princess theme.  They insisted on it.  So cute.

Elyse was also so good with Celeste.  First she got Celeste to go to sleep when she was really cranky and then she braided her hair.  The kids had a lot of fun dressing up in Ben and Elyse's costumes.  Cutest Annie ever!

The main reason for the trip was to see Mark and Kelley adopt their little girl Emma.  It was so great to be there.  We have been so blessed to watch this family grow.

More September Fun

Because it is too hot outside to do anything, we made a day of going
to the aquarium and then to the Phoenix Children's Museum.

First Family Trip To Disneyland!!!

We decided finally to take the kiddos to Disneyland and California Adventure.  It was a lot of fun and we saw just about every character they had.  Lots of good memories!  On the drive over the kids opened a bag of goodies for the trip.  Mickey/Minnie slippers, activity books, stickers, etc.  The night we got into town we went over to adopted grandpa John's house to eat and watch the sun set over the ocean from his back yard.  Then back to the hotel to rest up for the LONG week ahead.
