Christmas

This year was the most fun yet for Christmas because Collin could enjoy the lights, music, parade, etc.  We tried to get in as much as we could.  Uncle Steve and aunt Pat gave us an advent calendar and he couldn't wait to get that piece of chocolate out of it every day.
My little helper wanted to be a part of everything.  Having an excuse to climb made it even better!

This year aunt Misty joined us in going out to the Phoenix Electric Light Parade.

Another trip up to the Polar Express.  All the snow made it even better than last year!

 Look!  It's Santa!

This was the scene at first...
...so we made a few adjustments.

That night we drove to Flagstaff and stayed with cousin Shelley and Michael.  The next morning we went out for breakfast and then made our first ever snowman.  Well, more like snow boy.  The snow had no moisture in it so it was next to impossible to pack it.  Thanks to Shelley and Michael for keeping Collin busy while we worked our tails off making it.

In keeping with tradition, we spent Christmas Eve with the Christensen family having dinner, a program, out to see lights and then an elephant gift exchange.

Christmas morning Collin found his gift from Santa right away and didn't waste any time playing it.

My favorite gift of the day, my mom passed on a hope chest made by my great grandfather
Thanks mom!
The day proved to be too exciting...time for a nap.

After Christmas we went with friends to see the Zoo Lights.
Collin and his friend Jacob.

His hands are so red, I had to look twice before I could tell that it was not gloves on them. He is so cute with his drum set. Never know, maybe some day he'll be a drumer. A world of possibility are open to him. To bad the picture of the hope chest is not in color so people could see how beautiful it really is. Christmas is so much fun when there is a child around.
