Canning, Canning, Canning!

Last Christmas I got a dehydrator from my adopted grandpa and then for my birthday he gave me a pressure canner. As of a couple weeks ago I hadn't tried them out so i asked my mom to come over and we spent the whole day dehydrating and canning. It was a lot of fun. We dehydrated peach slices, pineapple slices and banana chips. They turned out great.

In the pressure canner we bottled ground beef. Yum!

We bought a ton of apples and after peeling and slicing for hours (because we didn't have the right tools), we decided to make apple pie filler, apple sauce and apple butter.

A week later my mom and I were invited to a friend's house to can peach pie filler and salsa. We are on a roll! Thanks John for the equipment!

Wow Mary that looks amazing. I think you should come to Misty's house and show her so then I can be there and learn too. Hehehe my master plan. Hope all is good this weekend.
