PayPal turns over account records to IRS

Check out the story here.

This news ticks me off because of the inadequate government handling of your information. If you have a PayPal account at anytime, beware you now possible personal information compromise. Unfortunately, I only use PayPal once per year when I win an eBay auction, so my personal information is subject to sloppy governmental information compromise.

There are better alternatives such as Google Checkout.

What a joke! I also only use paypal when I win an e-bay auction which is very rare. This makes me even more hesitant to use them.

I've grown leery of all the tricks that sellers use to rip you off; extreme shipping costs, misrepresentation, and lots of fine print, etc. I've always been careful with e-bay and never been burnt but it sure makes it hard to shop on their site.
